With outdoor participation booming, leading footwear brands in the market are ready to deliver plenty of high-quality looks – both performance and casual – for the Spring 23 season.

During Outdoor Retailer Summer 2022, which marks the end of the show at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, industry figures Danner, Adidas Terrex, Lowa, Oofos and more revealed what will soon be on the shelves of retailers around the world. . Looks featured include hiking boots, bike touring shoes, platform sandals and more.

Danner Shelter Cove Slide

For Spring 2023, Danner will launch its Camp collection, which includes three styles for men and women: the Shelter Cove Slide, the Forrest Moc and the Jag Loft Insulated Brief. The highlight of the range is the Shelter Cove Slide, a look designed to be worn when you’re off the beaten path. It is equipped with Vibram outsoles and an ergonomic fit to adapt to your foot. The retail price will be $85.

Adidas Terrex has plenty of heat coming to market in Spring 23, including the Tech Mid Pro. This state-of-the-art hiking shoe, which has undergone two rounds of testing with Austrian mountain guides, features a single-sided plate sandwiched by the brand’s Lightstrike EVA midsole compound, Stealth rubber outsoles, Gore waterproofing -Tex, an asymmetrical lacing for a secure fit and an abrasion resistant material on the upper ideal for alpine environments. Perhaps the best feature of this look is the outsole configuration, which features a climbing and running lug design in the forefoot, complemented by a hiking design in the heel. The retail price is set at $275.

Do you like coffee? Lamo does, and the brand used it in a shoe that arrived in Spring 23. The Lamo Java slip-on is constructed with a single unit crafted from coffee grounds. How much coffee is in each shoe? The brand said five cups of recycled coffee grounds are used in a pair of insoles. Plus, the upper is made from recycled plastic bottles. The retail price is $79.

New from Brandblack for Spring 23 is the Sansin, an ultralight day hiker built to withstand all the abuse on the trails. Shown here in the bold ‘Curry’ colourway, the Sansin features a TPU upper over ripstop material, bootie construction and speed lacing system. The look will cost $260.

Five Ten will deliver the Trailcross XT in Spring 23, a trail bike shoe designed for any type of adventure. Underfoot is an outsole with a pattern that grips the pedals, but when you step off your bike you’ll have traction ideal for other types of terrain. Additionally, the uppers are made with highly abrasion resistant materials and recycled EVA midsoles designed with trail running ideas.

For women, Oofos will offer the fashion-focused Oomega in Spring 23, a platform sandal featuring the brand’s patented Oofoam and footbed. The look will cost $85.

Vasque will offer color updates to its Torre AT in Spring 23, a boot designed for the experienced hiker. The look will be available in men’s and women’s sizes dressed in a midnight navy hue. It features Vibram outsoles using its Megagrip compound and Litebase technology, plus a new lug design for better traction and Gore-Tex waterproofing. The boot will come with a price tag of $210.

Next year, Scarpa hopes to achieve B-Corp certification, and the brand is turning its attention to sustainability in its product. For Spring 23, Scarpa will offer the Spin Planet, a look designed for mid-volume trail running. The upper is 100% recycled and the midsole and outsole also contain a percentage of recycled materials. Additionally, it’s built with the brand’s Axial TR Tech, which is an atypical tongue that’s inspired by the brand’s ski boots, along with its sticky rubber Presa outsoles.

Pajar Canada has a head-turning sneaker in Spring 23, the Frezno, which offers a hiking feel that’s suitable for both trails and city dwellers. Slated to arrive in February, the sleek look comes with nylon, mesh and PU uppers, which sit atop the brand’s trail-ready Fletcher outsole. The retail price is $165.

Lowa turns 100 next year, and the brand has something special to celebrate for Spring 23. The brand will release a version of its Ranger hiking boot with the year of its creation, 1923, stitched into the heel. Lowa reduced the weight of the boot and added a softer PU underfoot for more comfort. Additionally, it features Vibram outsoles and Gore-Tex waterproofing.

Bass Outdoor’s Woodside for Spring 23 is a fashion-forward look that works on the trails. It features canvas in the forefoot with suede across the rest of the upper and a lightweight mudguard, as well as Ortholite inserts and proprietary waterproofing. The retail price is $155.
