Britney Spears knows how to spark controversy – and she started the New Year off wearing a pair of one of the the most debated ugly (but really functional) sneakers out there.
The singer recently posted a series of photos on Instagram where she happily poses with an electric bike and a new dog, Porsha, while wearing a pair of Hoka One One Bondi 7 Trainers. Spears is no stranger to the brand; she wore various Hoka shoes since at least 2017, but this is the first time she has worn this particular style.
While athletic shoes have a chunky sneaker aesthetic that makes people wonder if they are fashionable or, like a Editor in other words, “nursing home”, over 3,000 Nordstrom buyers have given the Bondi 7 style a five star rating, saying they are very supportive and want to “walk in the air”.
“This is my [second] pair of Bondi 7 “shoes, a client wrote. “If you have foot pain these are the shoes to try. I have limited hallux and roommate toe area and [curved] help down. They’re pretty shoes too… worth every penny to avoid the pain. “
Another customer called the “miracle shoes”. They wrote: “I used to struggle with hip pain and tried different brands of runners to help me but to no avail. Those super fluffy Hokas put an end to my search and hip pain! I [also] bought two pairs for my aging parents. “
Not to mention that customers say they are ideal for standing all day and come in five versatile colors. “I recommend them to anyone who wants to listen. It’s like walking on a cloud filled with support. No break-in period. I own three pairs of Bondi 7s, which started out as work shoes have become everyone’s shoes times, so I needed more colors. “
