Working as a real estate agent or rental agent will never be boring. Both professions involve meeting new people on a daily basis and working with a range of properties.
Leasing Agents are forward oriented and the role requires many personal and professional interactive skills. Letting agents find a suitable tenant to rent a landlord’s property, ensure that rent is collected and, in return, ensure that the property meets high standards. Some landlords will require their property to be fully managed, meaning the agent will be responsible for corresponding with the tenant throughout the tenancy, arranging maintenance, inspections, check-in, departure and any dispute concerning the deposit. Rental agents need a good sense of regulation as there are many laws they must comply with.
Real estate agents deal with “sellers”, that is, those who want to sell a house. As a rental agent, this role relies on establishing good relationships with customers. Agents will do appraisals, market properties, manage showings and negotiate between buyers and sellers to get the best price.
As a national body, Propertymark provides support and training to its member agents, giving them a place to find the right tools, whether they are just entering the profession or experienced agents who want to stay at the top of their game. art and stay above their competitors.
