Few designers can boast of presenting collections as grandiose as jonathan anderson can for Loewe. In the 16th arrondissement of Paris, the British designer has unveiled a Spring-Summer 2023 men’s wardrobe combining two polar opposite worlds: technology and nature, in a dazzling immaculate setting, as luminous as his subversive creativity.
You could say that seeing the show is a new vision of reality. Although the clothing forms have been stripped down to their most extreme simplicity, through a standardized wardrobe punctuated with essentials such as a bomber jacket, a hoodie, a sweatshirt, or even a polo shirt and a t-shirt, jonathan anderson played with the codes to offer new volumes.
The designer offers a poetic vision of technology. He embellished a leather coat with tech relics like a phone case or headphones. Screens are integrated into the clothes which in turn become projection devices. On the other hand, weed grew on coats, sweatshirts, sweatpants and running shoes, the latter likely becoming the It-shoes of the season. This process was carried out in collaboration with the designer Paula Ulargui Escalona and took the duo twenty days to reach the desired level of growth before presenting these pieces on the catwalks.
Once again, jonathan anderson for Loewe took up the challenge to dazzle with a collection brimming with creativity.
