Jennifer Garner Keeps Wearing These Brooks Dad Sneakers

If you had told me in high school that in 2022 Adidas sambas sneakers would be very trendy, I would have certainly believed you. My dad still can’t understand why he couldn’t buy a pair (again, blame Bella Hadid for the sale), but it’s not that far-fetched once you consider the number of international football stars moonlit as fashion icons. I always looked to the older girls on my high school football team for style inspiration, especially when they wore the popular sneaker out of practice. Maybe it just took the rest of America a while to realize the low-key, sexy appeal of football samba, which now all of Hollywood and TikTok are wearing on repeat. Everyone seems to own a pair, except for Jennifer Garner.

Instead of the “It” sneaker of the moment, Garner can almost always be seen in a pair of classic running shoes from Brooks. Most recently, she was spotted walking around Brentwood wearing Alo Yoga’s popular high-waisted Vapor leggings and a pair of Brooks Glycerin 19 running shoes. The lightweight shoes are known to be extremely comfortable with responsive cushioning that makes running or walking painless. It’s also the kind of shoe that dads everywhere love, and while dad shoes had a big moment years ago, the trend has definitely faded a bit.

Garner doesn’t seem too concerned with trends or “It” items of the moment, however. Instead, the actress is often spotted in simple sweaters worn with her favorite jeans. She wears the things she loves repeatedly, and unlike some celebs, she always looks comfortable above all else. These Brooks sneakers seem to be her go-to for running errands, and she can be seen wearing them in almost every other paparazzi photo of her on the internet.

While the appeal of the Adidas Sambas is hard to deny, especially when Bella Hadid makes them look so good, even on vacation in Italy, there’s something comforting about a shoe that doesn’t try to be anything else. At the end of the day, Garner’s must-have Brooks sneakers are the type you won’t really see on models vacationing on the Amalfi Coast, but maybe on the dad who’s also there and wears a visor.

And who says Garner might not revive the dad sneaker trend herself? In the days when the coastal granny style is going viral, wilder (or tamer, depending on how you look at it) things have happened.
