Participate in the annual Walk a Mile in My Shoes benefiting Wayside Cross Ministries-Elgin

Wayside Cross Ministries will host their annual Walk a Mile in My Shoes fundraiser on Saturday, March 5

It will start at 10 a.m. in the parking lot of Wayside Cross Ministries, 453 Fremont St. in Elgin.

The One Mile Winter Walk for the Homeless benefits the Elgin Center of Wayside Cross Ministries.

Wayside Cross Ministries is a Bible-based shelter and recovery center with locations in Aurora and Elgin.

The rainy date will be March 12.

Donations will be gladly accepted on the website or at the event registration table.

Since 1993, the Wayside Cross Ministries center in Elgin has provided free meals, a safe day shelter, laundry services, showers and individual lockers to keep belongings safe. The center also offers computers to connect with loved ones, apply for a job or collaborative services. Each person also receives counseling, as well as Bible studies and programs.
