In case the race title isn’t self-explanatory enough, the entire race will be on the slopes of Rabbit Hill — up and down, up and down. Not everyone reading this will think, “Oh, that’s something I’d love to do,” but whether endurance feats are something you like or not, you should take part in this race.
Hill of a Race was originally scheduled for 2020 but was canceled due to COVID-19. The same goes for 2021. This is a fundraiser for Olive Tree Projects, like all races run by Rivers Edge Running Series. Olive Tree Projects works in Jacmel, Haiti to keep families together. Over the past few years, Haiti has faced countless challenges, adding insult to injury to an already struggling nation, and the work of Olive Tree Projects is needed more than ever.
This year, fortunately, Hill of a Race has not been canceled and the current mandates suggest that we will be able to hold it as planned.
Often in early April most of the snow in the fields and our courses is gone, but there’s still plenty left on the slopes of Rabbit Hill after they close to skiers, so sign up and enjoy the white snow in this exciting New Event.
Each runner will receive a day pass to Rabbit Hill for the 2022/2023 season and will be entered into the draw for a family pass.
So come run on the hills to support a desperately needed cause, and who knows, maybe you’ll be surprised and find that this Hill of a Race is something you love and will be doing again next year.
