Families in Suffolk have been supported by shoe retailer Russell & Bromley with a new partnership to provide shoes for children to help those managing their budget.

The company works with Home-Start UK and has distributed thousands of pairs of shoes nationwide, which when lined up would stretch over five miles.

In Suffolk, 250 children will receive a free pair of shoes in the coming weeks.

Russell & Bromley have offices in Martlesham, Bury St Edmunds and the Waveney area and will provide a number of Home-Start supported families in Suffolk with free new shoes for their children.

Tara Spence, CEO of Home-Start in Suffolk, said: “We are extremely grateful to Russell & Bromley for their support of families in Suffolk. Things are really tough for families right now with the rising cost of living and rising fuel prices, so to be able to relieve one of the pressures and provide 250 kids with new quality shoes is just wonderful . We are delighted that so many families can benefit from their generosity. »

Home-Start in Suffolk has been supporting families across the county for over 23 years and typically works with over 700 families each year.

“It’s a really tough time for parents right now. Families who would otherwise struggle to afford new shoes, or who would have to buy on a buy-it-now arrangement, can enjoy seeing their children wearing a new pair of shoes without any worries.”
