Starting life on the racetrack in 1964, no one could have predicted the influence Nike would have. The Swoosh has effectively set the tone for sneaker culture since its inception by constantly striving for the next thing in style and technical innovation. But while the company itself is still looking to the future, some of its greatest designs are a thing of the past.
Over the last couple of years or so, sneaker tastes have shifted heavily towards more retro styles. While there’s still a booming market for performance-driven concepts, many sneakerheads have turned their lifestyle rotations to face the past.
