Starting life on the racetrack in 1964, no one could have predicted the influence Nike would have. The Swoosh has effectively set the tone for sneaker culture since its inception by constantly striving for the next thing in style and technical innovation. But while the company itself is still looking to the future, some of its greatest designs are a thing of the past.

Over the last couple of years or so, sneaker tastes have shifted heavily towards more retro styles. While there’s still a booming market for performance-driven concepts, many sneakerheads have turned their lifestyle rotations to face the past. These retro rotations are made up largely of Nike sneakers.

Retro Nike sneakers are some of the best in the game, and that’s thanks to the fact that Nike was, as stated, always ahead of the pack. To celebrate Air Max Day, we decided to take a trip down memory lane to check out some of the best retro Nike sneakers to wear in 2022.
