Stephen Curry toasted the launch of his FTX NFT, 2974, in a sporty style. The athlete announced the moment with a celebration with Eat, his wife Ayesha’s nonprofit. Learn. To play. The event took place in Atlanta, including donating food, books and more with the Alameda County Community Food Bank, basketball games at The Town and dinner at Ayesha’s International Smoke Restaurant.

For the occasion, Curry wore a full Ksubi blue tracksuit, as seen in his latest instagram Publish. The tonal blue of the basketball star that breaks all records $170 4×4 Biggie Crew Sweatshirt featured an oversized fit, with an added benefit of the brand’s signature rattail side tie, as well as back prints that included Ksubi’s 4×4 crosses and T-box. The top was associated with the assortment of the brand $180 4×4 Trak Atlantic Pants, drawstring fleece track pants that include front and back zippered patch pockets. Curry’s ensemble was completed with a silver cross necklace and black watch, creating a clean and sleek athletic look.

“2974 fam in the bay!! What a special group,” Curry captioned his post, along with photos from the various events. “Thank you all for joining me on this journey!”

As for footwear, Curry continued his sporty streak with a pair of unisex Curry Flow Cozy Sportstyle sneakers. The $130 model included stretchy black knit uppers with a midfoot upper, as well as striped elastic laces and tonal detailing in blue, orange and electric green hues. Curry’s pair was completed with exaggerated rounded white soles with EVA insoles and cushioned insoles, providing extra comfort throughout the day.

Athletic sneakers like Curry’s are known for their comfort and ease of use, thanks to exaggerated soles and comfortable mesh and knit uppers. Styles in similar materials have also emerged from a range of sports brands in recent years, including Nike, Fila and Reebok. However, fashion and performance-oriented brands have also benefited from the trend. Sorel’s latest men’s trainers have included tonal mesh uppers and molded rubber outsoles for lightweight wear – also seen in his Kinetic Breakthru Day Lace style’s viral collaboration with Alfred. This summer, Steve Madden also launched men’s lace-up styles in a variety of upper colors and materials, with chunky, ridged rubber soles for added balance and comfort.
