KUALA LUMPUR, April 13 ― German sportswear group Adidas is collaborating with Mars Wrigley for its latest footwear which will see colorful M&M’s candies adorning its trainers.
Available from April 19, the Adidas Originals Forum Lo 84 M&M’s sneaker will be available at selected retailers in Malaysia.
The sneaker’s design is inspired by the instantly recognizable packaging of the iconic Mars candy brand, M&M’s.
From the classic court silhouette, the Adidas Originals Forum 84 Lo M&M sneaker features witty and unconventional elements from every angle.
There will be a yellow rubberized leather upper completed with delineated 3-Stripe TPU branding and a distinctive heel tab – both inspired by the packaging of the classic Mars variant, M&M’s Peanut.
There is also perforated “M” lettering on both ends and a removable M&M’s brand flag attached to the side lacing system that brings a unique touch to the expressive silhouette.
A peanut-colored liner pays a subtle homage to one of Mars chocolate candy’s most famous flavors and is matched with a bold pair of socks that feature a pack of colorful M&M’s.
Jane Hwang, Vice President of Global Marketing for Mars Wrigley, said Mars is thrilled to team up with Adidas.
“This is a true collaboration between two iconic brands,” she said in a statement.
Wearers can also customize their M&M’s sneakers as each pair comes with a full set of removable accessories including six pairs of laces, nineteen lace jewels, three pairs of alternative straps and seven different chocolate Velcro lenses.
The shoes are packaged in a bright yellow co-branded box inspired by the iconic M&M’s Peanut variant packaging.
It will also be available worldwide via adidas.com.
