Tom Holland and Zendaya have a lot in common. They’re two of the most profitable actors in film and TV right now, they both have bouncy hair, and they have perfectly put together wardrobes by star stylist Law Roach.

The pair also have a shared passion for great sneakers. The duo were pictured enjoying a rare day off (Zendaya’s schedule is so packed with filming she won’t be attending the Met Gala later this week) in Boston this week, dressed in their most beautiful everyday clothes. Oversized knits, t-shirts and baggy pants made up their uniforms, while at their feet sat two of our favorite Nike designs to date.

Zendaya, who you might be used to seeing in a pair of Converse Chuck Taylors in her role as EuphoriaRue, the problem kid from , slipped into a pair of Nike x Sacai sneakers. The Vaporwaffle, which is a mash-up of Nike’s Vaporfly and Pegasus running silhouettes from 1983, is arguably one of the most popular sneaker designs of the past two years.

Designed by Sacai’s founder and creative director, Chitose Abe, the nylon, mesh and leather double-stacked sneakers were first released in 2020 and achieved commercial success. Today, it’s nearly impossible to set foot in the creamy “Sail” colorway that Zendaya is currently reproducing (unless, of course, you’re willing to drop a small fortune on resale sites).

Meanwhile, Holland is a huge sneakerhead who revolves around shoes designed by Sean Wotherspoon, Air Force Ones and New Balance 237. For his Boston outing with Zendaya, he donned one of Nike’s most beloved silhouettes: the Air Max ’97. It’s not the first time he’s been seen sporting the kicks, and he’s already been spotted in the OG Silver colourway, or as seen today, a muted gray version.
