MSCHF, a Brooklyn-based art collective, announced their upcoming Wavy Baby skate shoes in early April 2022.
First featured in Tyga’s music video for Freaky Deaky, the Wavy Baby shoes are set to debut on April 18.
Where can I get Wavy Baby shoes?
The new Wavy Baby MSCHF x Tyga shoes will arrive on the MSCHF Sneakers app on Monday, April 18, 2022.
Starting at $220 apiece, the Wavy Baby shoes feature a black and white color scheme with a stripe down each side.
The bottom of the shoes is shaped like a wave and includes a large platform.
A disclaimer on MSCHF’s website reads: “Disclaimer: By placing your foot in this shoe, you agree to waive any and all claims against MSCHF for any injury, death or damage resulting from having your foot in that shoe.”
The disclaimer continues: “By placing your foot in the shoe, you also agree to assume all risk of injury resulting from having your foot in this shoe.”
Who is Tyga?
Born November 19, 1989, Tyga – real name Michael Ray Stevenson – is a rapper and songwriter from California.
He dated Kylie Jenner for years and was last linked to Camaryn Swanson.
The rapper is known for his hit songs such as Rack City, Faded and Make It Nasty.
Tyga shares one child with Blac Chyna: King Cairo Stevenson.
Chyna also shares a child with Kylie’s older brother, Robert Kardashian.
What is the MSCHF?
Founded in 2016, MSCHF is an artistic collective based in New York.
Gabriel Whaley, the interim CEO, works with multiple artists to produce various artworks including physical products, social media channels, browser plugins, sneakers, and photography.
Their products often feature parodies of already famous brands.
In March 2021, MSCHF and Lil Nas X modified a pair of Nike Air Max 97s known as Satan Shoes.
On sale for $1,018, the shoes reportedly featured a drop of human blood in their sole.
MSCHF has already purchased four of the most coveted Birkin bags to make sandals, dubbed “Birkinstocks”, as part of a play by the famous sandal company Birkenstock.
