The next Black Panther x The Adidas Marvel Ultra 4D shoes are set to debut on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. These limited-edition pairs will only be sold on Adidas’ online site. Therefore, you cannot find them anywhere else. Each pair will cost you $220.
The Black Panther x Adidas Marvel Ultra 4D shoes are inspired by the superhero’s Vibranium suit
Epic studio Marvel has joined Adidas in releasing an entire line of performance footwear themed around recognizable Black Panther weapons well ahead of the long-awaited worldwide debut on November 11, 2022. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The Vibranium-made suit, which was previously unveiled via Pat Mahomes’ Adidas IMPACT FLX, is now seen on the Adidas Ultra 4D along with other styles.
The description of the Marvel Black Panther Ultra 4D shoes on the brand’s website states,
“The marriage of two modern icons. Part of the adidas x Marvel Black Panther collaboration, these running shoes combine an adidas PRIMEKNIT upper with the adidas 4D midsole. Lace up for a locked-in feel and precise cushioning. The grippy rubber outsole provides secure footing on slippery or sloping terrain.
Although the upper is mostly black, hits of gray and purple guided by Black Panther’s original style make these shoes more appealing. The top features a Primeknit construction covered in the “Core Black/Gold Metallic/Tribe Purple” color scheme. The brand’s classic Primeknit upper wraps the foot in a supportive fit that improves movement.
True to its sustainable approach, the shoe brand has made 50% of the mesh uppers with recycled materials. Black toe caps and tongue flaps are woven with hits of purple throughout. Towards the collar, the tongue flap is stitched with a branded tab with an Adidas logo in metallic gold.
Mesh underlays are adorned in matte metallic gold, snaking across the stripes. The lined pattern that covers the Wakandan armor is present in the midfoot cage, while the ruffled collar is visible above the toe box thanks to outer overlays.
At the rear, the heel counter is finished with “ULTRA 4D” branding on gray overlays. Interior linings, completed with purple textiles, are highlighted with black insoles, featuring co-branded prints of the shoe label and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” Metallic gold lettering.
The shoe is completed with a purple Continental rubber outsole, which offers enough traction for quick movement. These rubber outsoles are seamlessly bonded to the original Adidas 4D midsole. The midsole is done in a transparent dark gray color.
Matching the theme, these shoes will come in custom all-purple shoe boxes with gold Wakanda Forever accents on top.
