Yves Saint Laurent’s latest attempt is in the direction of impressing all sneakerheads. The luxury fashion brand offers a distinctive pair of SMITH shoes.
YSL’s creative head, Anthony Vaccarello, is beloved for his exquisite designs, leather jackets, voluminous faux fur coats and luxurious bespoke suits that appeal to the eyes of brand aficionados. For his spring summer 2022 collection, the designer has created impressive bandana sneakers in different colors.
The latest sneaker launch follows the brand’s Fall/Winter 2022 show, which took place during Paris Fashion Week.

SMITH silhouettes are made in three different ways. Both are adorned with bandanas, while the third variant is built without them.
Distinctly designed pairs have varying prices. The one without the bandana costs US$1,195, while the ones with the bandana on top sell for US$1,995. For a closer look, head over to the label’s official website, and those interested can pre-order their pieces.
Dainty shoes are available in three colors: White, Black and White and Blue. Made with high-top sneakers, the dapper pair of shoes is surely a temptation for sneaky lovers.
Most parts of the pair are covered with a silk textured bandana, which makes it more attractive. Taking inspiration from the old world, the first colorway is detailed with black and white stripes to the sides, complete with a rolled up bandana. The pair is adorned with chunky knits and cotton fringes that give it a nautical look.
Next up is a black colourway, which is perfectly combined with traces of Black and constructed with 80% calfskin and 20% polyamide. In addition, the pieces are furnished with casual Saint Laurent monograms on the heels.
The leather inserts are pierced in the middle and towards the tip. Additionally, they are incorporated with an antique rubber sole. The sides of the outsoles are stamped with the Saint Laurent logo.

Finally, the bandanaless pair is just as flirty, leaving no room for fuss. The white pair boasts a criss-cross lace arrangement with black fabric wrapped around the heel tab, which meets in the middle of the panel and tongue.
